GRADUATION INFORMATION (SATURDAY, JUNE 8, 2024)

• The address for Kaplan Arena is 751 Ukrop Way, Williamsburg.

 

• 📺How to watch from home:
  • The entire ceremony will be streamed live on YouTube (York County School Division - YouTube)

 

• Dress code for grads (under gown):
  • Dress/skirt (short enough to not show under gown)
  • Black or khaki dress pants (no shorts)
  • Collared shirt (polo shirts are okay) – ties not required
  • Dress or business casual shoes (no flip-flops or boots) – make sure you are stable!
  • *Do not decorate caps (YCSD policy)

 

• Grads need to arrive by 8:00. They should park in the main lot and enter down the stairs through the entrance facing the parking lot. Guests will be admitted beginning at 8:00 as well, via the main entrance just around the corner from the parking lot and up the stairs. Everyone except small children will need a ticket.

 

• The ceremony will begin at 9:00am

 

• EVERYONE (guests and grads) will be screened by security. Guests must comply with the venue's clear bag policy:
  • Clear tote bags made of plastic, vinyl or PVC that do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″
  • One-gallon clear plastic zip-style bags
  • Small purses or clutch bags that do not exceed 6.5″ x 4.5"
  • Medical or diaper bags – diaper bags must be accompanied by a child

 

• Please leave phones with family members; otherwise they will be bagged and will need to be picked up after the ceremony

 

• Only YCSD-approved cords and stoles may be worn (see attached list)

 

• 📷How to access/purchase professional photos from graduation:
  • Pictures will be available to purchase online about 2 WEEKS AFTER photo day.
