There will be a YVC meeting on Tuesday, October 13th in room 106.

Join the York High School Drama Department for a special performance of Junie B. Jones: Toothless Wonder, a one-act competition piece based on the popular book by Barbara Park and adapted by Allison Gregory.

Over the course of the school year, schools hold several drills to help ensure students and staff know what to do in an emergency. These drills include, but are not limited to, fire, tornado, earthquake and lockdown. School administrators will review safety and drill procedures with students and staff before the end of the first week of school. Many drills are held in coordination with the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office and the York County Department of Fire & Life Safety. To reduce confusion in the event of a true emergency, schools will not call or email families when a drill is held unless there are unusual circumstances.

Scholastic Bowl is a VHSL activity, where students compete in a team to answer questions on a wide variety of subjects. If you are curious, quick on your feet, and ready for a challenge, this is for you! Stop by room 303 on October 8th to learn more and try it out. You might just discover your new favorite team!
